Path of Exile, Metamorph League. League Description.
Path of Exile, Metamorph League. League Description.
According to an already established tradition, on a quarterly basis (namely March, June, September, and December), the next Test League is released in Path of Exile, at the end of which the contet (pretty truncated) safely migrates to the core of the game. The league adds new NPCs and new local mechanics. The Grinding Gear Games has repeatedly stated that they are trying to release a global update in December (as in 2017, the addition of War for the Atlas or in 2018 the big league Betrayal). This December, the GGG rolled out the addition of the Conquerors of the Atlas and the Metamorph league. Below we will talk exclusively about the league.
"Everything ingenious is simple." And this statement very accurately describes the mechanics of the new league. We have to kill the opponents marked with a special symbol and seize their internal organs, which they no longer need, to create the enemy in a cooler way. The “tagged” opponent can be either ordinary “white” or bosses. Both ordinary internal organs (brains, heart, eyes, lungs and liver) and organs with a special symbol (currency, weapons, rings, part of equipment, etc.) will fall out. All of these atrocities we have to commit exclusively within one location - when moving to another location, all organs obtained by the heavy dismemberment of enemies disappear. But this restriction is compensated by the fact that with their own hands to create opponents will be frantically allowed. The organs can be combined as you wish. The complexity of the new boss is affected by the quality of the organs that you rewarded him with good nature. It is also not necessary to say that the potential reward depends on the level of the antagonist - this is obvious. Perhaps someone has already dubbed this event nothing more than a Frankenstein simulator and he (a) is absolutely right (a).
Also in the league you will be introduced to a new character - Thein Octavius. Thane is an alchemist and, as befits any self-respecting alchemist, is puzzled by various thoughts. First of all, about the nature of evil or the quote "innate darkness." Thane wants to understand how it happened that he (supposedly unexpectedly even for himself) killed his teacher and turned into a cynical and severe individual.
For less sentimental gamers, this character is interesting to others - Thein Octavius gives uniqueness to metamorphs. The new bosses, after the “witchcraft” of the alchemist, can change shape, have increased dexterity, extraordinary mental abilities, etc. The main thing is that in the Stakhanov impulse, creating the next especially embittered monster, you won’t overdo it - since, theoretically, you can create such a fierce villain that picking it up will be either very problematic or not at all possible.
For each metamorphic metamorphus there is an opportunity to get catalysts. Catalysts affect the quality of jewelry (rings, amulet or belts) and increases the ability to upgrade the item. Types of catalysts: rainbow, saturated, tempering, true, magical, stormy and abrasive.
